Dora Schaffer

Dora Ann Abbott Schaffer, 85, of Walterboro, South Carolina, died Monday August 7th, 2023 at Pruitt Home, Walterboro, S.C.. Born in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Leon and Anna May Myers Abbott. She was predeceased by brother Kenneth, and sisters Bertha DeNoyelles and Gleora Payette. She was the wife of 50 years to Raymond G. Schaffer, Sr.. After raising 8 children she worked at K-Mart in Phillipsburg, N.J. for several years before moving to Missouri and subsequently Ruffin, South Carolina. She is predeceased by a son David, and a daughter, Cheryl A. Frey. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy L. (David) Marino of Titusville, Fl., as well as sons Raymond G (Vicki) Schaffer, Jr. Wesley Leon, Michael all of So Carolina, son William of Easton, Pa and son Wayne Thomas of New York. She leaves 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. There will be no visiting hours. You are invited to share a memory of Dora with the family or leave a message of condolence.
