Dora Joan Reece

Mrs. Dora Joan Reece, 76, of Long Bourne Way, Summerville, entered into rest Friday evening, April 26, 2013, at Trident Medical Center in Charleston.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 am, Monday morning, April 29, 2013, at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel. Entombment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.

Mrs. Reece was born November 18, 1936 in Barnwell, SC and was a daughter of the late Bennie Zorn and Kathleen Zorn Cling. She was a member of Palmetto Land Baptist Church in Summerville. She loved her church and cooking for her family and friends. Most of all, she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and the love she had for her family and her dogs.

Surviving are: her husband, Norman Lee Reece of Summerville; children, Paula Shuler and her husband David of Holly Hill; William T. Bronson, Jr. and his wife Loraine of Walterboro, Jeff Reece and his wife Katherine of Clanton, Alabama, and Kim Seals and her husband Eddie of Lexington; daughter-in-law, Jeanette Nolind of Walterboro; sister, Gertrude Grubbs of Augusta, Georgia; 15 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Willis Harland Nolind, Jr.; and a sister, Amelia Moody.
