Donna Mixon

COTTAGEVILLE- Mrs. Donna Jean Hughes Mixon, 53, of 24294 Augusta Highway, Cottageville, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at her residence.



Funeral services will be held 3 pm, Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Maple Cane Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Meeting House Cemetery.



Mrs. Mixon was born August 7, 1955 in Colleton County and was a daughter of Pierce Eugene Hughes and Mamie Juanita Robertson Hughes. She was a registered nurse at Colleton Medical Center and was a member of Maple Cane Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who centered her life around her family.



Surviving are: her husband of 37 years, Sam Ricky Mixon of Cottageville; mother, Mamie Robertson Hughes of Cottageville; father, Pierce Eugene Hughes of Columbia; daughters, April Mixon of Cottageville and Rebecca Seigler and her husband Lemuel of Round O; granddaughter, Mackenzie Mae Seigler; step grandchildren, Rebecca Seigler and Scott Seigler; brother, Joseph Eugene Hughes of Cottageville; sister, Nancy Pye and her husband Mickey of Cottageville; great aunt, Georgie Stanfield of Cottageville; special niece and nephew, Angel Pye of Summerville and Mickey Joe Pye of Cottageville; special friends, Donna Grimsley of Harleyville and Cynthia Polk of Islandton; and goddaughters, Ashley and Brittany Grimsley of Harleyville.
