Donald Searson

Mr. Donald Judson Searson, 77, of Smoaks, died Saturday, January 22, 2011 at MUSC.



Funeral services will be held 2 pm, Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel. Interment will follow in Little Swamp United Methodist Church Cemetery.



Mr. Searson was born April 20, 1933 and was a son of the late Van and Hattie Searson. He was a log truck driver and was a member of Little Swamp United Methodist Church.



Surviving are: his wife, Beverly Hayes Searson of Smoaks; daughters, Mary Proveaux of Walterboro and Donna Searson of Ruffin; sisters, Sadie Kinard of Fairfax, Dot Minton of Walterboro and Mary Ann Stanley of Hampton; brothers, Allen Searson of Ehrhardt and Jody Searson of Barnwell; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by two sons, David Allen Searson and Donald Hayes Searson; granddaughter, Chasity Williams; sisters, Harriett Brunson and Blanche Bishop; and a brother, Mac Searson.
