COTTAGEVILLE " Mr. Donald Edward Finlay, affectionately known to all as Donnie, age 51, of 180 Finlayville Court, Cottageville, died Sunday afternoon, May 3, 2009, from injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident in Colleton County.
Funeral services with Masonic Rites will be conducted 6 oclock Thursday evening, May 7, 2009, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Entombment will be held privately at Carolina Memorial Gardens, North Charleston.
Mr. Finlay was born October 1, 1957, in Moses Lake, Washington and was a son of John Arnold Finlay and Ruth Ann Finlay. He was a carpenter and was a member of Unity Masonic Lodge No. 55, Ancient Free Masons in Walterboro. He will be remembered for his love of Dogs and riding his motorcycle.
Surviving in addition to his parents of Cottageville are: four brothers, John Speed Finlay of Cottageville, Bob Finlay of Jonesboro, Georgia, James Finlay of Cottageville, and Herbert Finlay of Cottageville; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Ronald.
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that memorials be directed in his memory to a charity of ones choice
