Doc Crosby

Mr. James Doctory Crosby, known to everyone as “Doc”, 78, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Thursday morning, September 23, 2021 at Colleton Medical Center.  He was the husband of the late Nancy Lee Broderick Crosby.

Born October 12, 1942 in Walterboro, he was the son of the late John Crosby and Neta Roberts Crosby.  He was a retired machine operator from CCX in Walterboro and served his country in the United States Army-82nd Airborne Division.  He was a member of the Walterboro Church of God of Prophecy where he served as a Deacon.  He dearly loved his church but especially loved watching his grandchildren play sports and never missed a game.

Surviving are: his children, Donny Crosby and his wife Maria Castellanos Crosby of Walterboro and Tammy Lee Crosby of Walterboro; brother, Mendel J. Crosby of Walterboro; grandchildren, Ashley Bouker, Taylor Montjoy, Jordan Crosby, and Lyndsey Montjoy; and great grandchildren, Payslee Barnes, Alayna Ortiz, and Rowan Barnes.

Funeral services will be held 11 o’clock, Saturday morning, September 25, 2021 at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
