Mrs. Diane Ashworth Pulaski, 61, of Mixon Farm Road, Hampton, entered into rest Monday evening, November 11, 2013, at the Vibra Hospital in Mount Pleasant following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 oclock Thursday afternoon, November 14, 2013, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Varnville. Interment will follow in Sandy Run Church Cemetery, Sandy Run Road, Hampton.
Born July 2, 1952, a native of Savannah, Georgia and lifelong resident of Hampton County, she was a daughter of the late Robert Ashworth and the late Edna Rentz Ashworth. She for many years, has been employed by Nevamar in Hampton. She was a faithful member of West End Baptist Church in Hampton where she was active in many aspects of the churchs work. At her church, she was an administrator for the Womens Mission Union, Vacation Bible School worker, a member of the Choir, and formerly had taught the childrens Sunday School Class. She was also a huge worker in the churchs annual Christmas Shoe Box Ministry and Duffle Bag Ministry. Diane was a cancer survivor, and will be fondly remembered for centering her life around her husband and children and for her dedication to her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She will also be fondly recalled for her joy in vacationing and camping and spending time in the mountains.
Surviving are: her husband of thirty-nine years, Mr. Danny Edward Pulaski; three sons, Robert J. Pulaski and his wife Jennifer of Hampton, Brian Keith Pulaski of Charleston, and Danny Franklin Pulaski of Hampton; two brothers, Donnie Ashworth and his wife Paula of Myrtle Beach and Timmy Ashworth of Hampton; and one sister, Robin Burrell and her husband David of Columbia. There are five grandchildren, Ami, Amber, Emily, Hannah, and Keith as well as numerous nieces and nephews that also survive. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Maddux.
