Mrs. Diane Austin Bazzle, 64, entered into rest early Friday morning, December 23, 2016, while surrounded by her loving family in her home in Walterboro. She was the wife of the late Mr. Charles Douglas Bazzle.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 o’clock Tuesday morning, December 27, 2016, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery, South Jefferies Boulevard, Walterboro.
Born May 16, 1952, in Moncks Corner, she was a daughter of the late Albert E. “Shorty” Austin and the late Audrey Mae Bunch Austin. Diane was a well-known cosmetologist in her beloved community for forty-two years, having owned Diane’s Hair Designs and worked at Pruitt Health Care Center formerly known as Oakwood in Walterboro. She was a member of the Walterboro Church of God of Prophecy where she taught children’s church. She loved crafts and working in her yards and will always be remembered for her “Angel Trumpet Trees”. She was a talented cook, especially known for her baking.
Surviving are: a daughter, Amanda Diane Murdaugh of Walterboro; a step-daughter, Sandra Grice and her husband Ed of Lexington; and four siblings, Riley Austin, David Austin (Lizzie), Ann Iriel (Whaley), and Cindy George (Ray), all of Walterboro. She is also survived by a grandson, Daron Grice and his wife Amy; and two great grandchildren, Ethan and Alex.
In lieu of flowers, the family has respectfully requested that memorial contributions be directed in her memory to: National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, Post Office Box 1848, Longmont, CO 80502.
