Miss Desiree Lucille Dopson, 43, of 786 Dandridge Road, Walterboro, entered into her eternal rest Friday morning, August 10, 2012, at her residence while under the care of Agape Hospice following a life lived each day to the fullest in Gods wonderful glory.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 oclock Tuesday morning, August 14, 2012, from Saint Anthony Roman Catholic Church, 925 Jefferies Boulevard, Walterboro with Father Jeffrey Kendall officiating. The final commendation and farewell will follow the funeral mass at Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
Friends may call at Saint Anthony Church from 7 oclock until 9 oclock Monday evening where a Rosary will be recited at 7 oclock.
Born September 24, 1968, a native of Walterboro, she was the daughter of Mrs. Norma Rijos Dopson and the late Mr. John Edward Dopson. She was a devout member of Saint Anthony Roman Catholic Church, where she faithfully attended and was considered an honorary member of the Womens Club and also attended the International Womens Club meetings. She will be fondly remembered for her faithful participation in bible studies and praying the Rosary. Desiree was a part of the Board of Disabilities Group and had worked for the Board of Disabilities Thrift Store. She possessed a very sweet and kindred spirit and was the true example of a wonderful life filled with love, purity, and kindness. She was an avid Atlanta Braves Fan having in her possession many of the teams memorabilia.
Surviving in addition to her loving mother of Walterboro are: a brother, Edward Emmett Dopson of Mount Pleasant; and two nephews, John Evan Dopson and Corey Edward Dopson. She is also survived by an aunt, Mrs. Bridie Dopson of Williams; and a host of beloved cousins to include, Gloria Warren of Williams and Ruby Tillman of Ruffin, and many wonderful friends.
