Mr. Denver Miles Crews, 66, of Cummings, died September 14, 2010 at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Crews in Cummings after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held 11 am, Friday, September 17, 2010 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Varnville-Hampton Chapel. Interment will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Crews was born May 23, 1944 in Hampton County and was the son of the late Ben and Alice Crews. He was the husband of the late Nell Stanley Crews. He was a carpenter, farmer, fisherman and deer hunter.
Surviving are: his brother, Billy and Marjorie Crews of Cummings; sisters, Audrey Mosley of Hampton and Hazel and Ernest Mole of Cummings; step-daughter, Sandra and Steve Miklaszewski of Cummings; step-sons, Tommy and Mederia Stanley of Crocketville and J.W. and Linda Stanley of Sulphur, Louisiana; 8 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Crews; and a brother-in-law, Haig Mosley.
