Dennis Wayne Kreighbaum

Mr. Dennis Wayne Kreighbaum, 56, of Augusta Highway near Canadys, entered into rest Sunday morning, October 6, 2013, at his residence.

A memorial service will be conducted 4 o’clock Saturday afternoon, October 12, 2013, from Jones Swamp Pentecostal Holiness Church, Jones Swamp Road, Walterboro.

Born March 28, 1957, a son of the late Dennis Harmon Kreighbaum and the late Reverend Anna Long Kreighbaum, he was a native of Michigan City, Indiana having made South Carolina his home since 1985. He served his country in the United States Army and was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. Dennis had an avid love and special talent for playing the guitar and was an avid hunter and motorcycle enthusiast. He will be fondly remembered for the love he possessed for his grandchildren. Dennis was also a big sports have, loving sports of all kinds, especially the Chicago Cubs Baseball team and hockey.

Surviving are: a son, Dennis Lee Kreighbaum of Terre Haute, Indiana; two daughters, Amy Ann Vogt and her husband Robert of Walterboro and Lydia Mae Kreighbaum of Kannapolis, North Carolina; two sisters, Terri Gallagher and her husband Ralph and Beth Tolliver and her husband Brian all of Walterboro; a sister-in-law, Peggy Kreighbaum of Walterboro; and a nephew whom he loved as a son, Christopher Tolliver of Round O. There are seven grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews that also survive. He was preceded in death by a grandchild and a brother, William Kreighbaum.
