Mr. Dennis A. Crosby, 89, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away Tuesday morning, September 9, 2025, at The Phoenix at James Creek in Cumming, Georgia. Dennis was the husband of the late Ginger Rose Crosby, to whom he was married 58 years.
Born in Colleton County, South Carolina on May 6, 1936, he was a son of the late Harvey Edward Crosby and Ina Mae Hiott Crosby.
Surviving are: his sons, Dennis A. Crosby, Jr. and his wife Kim of Suwanee, Georgia and Kevin Crosby; grandchildren, Tyler, Adam, Clay, Tore, and Ginger; great grandchildren, Walker, Piper, and Miller; sister-in-law, Joyce Crosby of Smoaks, South Carolina; brother-in-law, Danny Crosby and his wife Lynah of Smoaks, South Carolina; many nieces and nephews; and two very dear friends, Roslyn Barkowitz and Betty Lancer. He was preceded in death by his son Rodney Scott Crosby; and brothers, Edward “Ed” Crosby and Winfred Lanier “Fred” Crosby. Mr. Crosby had a love for Alabama football.
A memorial service will be held at 11 o’clock, Saturday morning, September 20, 2025, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Home, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery, Jefferies Highway, Walterboro.
A visitation will be held at 10 o’clock, Saturday morning, September 20, 2025 at The Brice Herndon Funeral Home, Walterboro.
