Dennis Carter

Mr. Dennis Michael Carter, 61, of Lodge Road, Ehrhardt, passed away Friday, April 2, 2010, at his home.



Funeral services will be held 11 oclock Monday morning, April 5, 2010, at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Ehrhardt. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.



Mr. Carter was born May 24, 1948 in Colleton County and was a son of Eloise Dyches Carter and the late Moorer Carter. He was a graduate of Bells High School. Mr. Carter was employed as a Supervisor at Delavan for 40 years. He was an avid gardener who loved the land, his chickens, fishing, coon hunting and always lending a helping hand to a neighbor in need.



In addition to his mother of Ehrhardt, Dennis is survived by his wife of 37 years, June Kittrell Carter of the home; daughters, Kimberly Carter Kinard (Michael) of Ehrhardt and Kendall Carter Tubbs (Chris) of Aiken. He is survived by 2 grandchildren, Kaden Kinard of Ehrhardt and Logan Tubbs of Aiken. Two brothers also survive, Vernon Carter of Lodge and Danny Carter (Susan) of Ehrhardt.
