Delores Robertson Barrs

Mrs. Delores Robertson Barrs, affectionately known by many as ”Toots”, age 80, a longtime resident of Smoaks, entered into rest Sunday, March 31, 2019, at her home in Charleston.  She was the wife of the late Mr. Marshall Wayne Barrs.

Born June 9, 1938, in Smoaks, she was a daughter of the late Purdy Robertson and the late Edith Wood Robertson.  She was a member of Smoaks Baptist Church.  She enjoyed catering as well as crafts.  She loved working in her yards and always kept them perfectly manicured.  She possessed a strong work ethic and was always known to speak her mind.  She will always be remembered for the loved she possessed for her family.

Surviving are: five grandchildren, Marshall Williams, Katie Williams, Deborah Anne Williams, Jimmie Leigh Smoak, and Ebin Trantham Barrs; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Patricia Robertson Jones and her husband Cecil.  She was preceded in death by her two children, Curtis Wayne Barrs and Deborah Jane Barrs Williams.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 o’clock Monday morning, April 8, 2019, from the graveside at Smoaks Baptist Churchyard, 443 Lodge Highway, Smoaks.
