Debra M. Risher

Mrs. Debra Maxine Risher, age 63, entered into rest early Wednesday morning, March 30, 2016, at her home while under the care of Hospice Care of South Carolina.

The family will receive friends Friday morning, April 1, 2016, from 9 o’clock until 10’clock at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Homes, Walterboro Chapel.   A graveside funeral service will follow the visitation at 10:30 at Evergreen Cemetery, Bells Highway, Walterboro.

Born November 14, 1952, in Pickens County, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Edna Brewer.  She was an office manager, having worked for many years at both Smoaks Manufacturing and Roy Walker Land Sales.   Prior to her failing health, she attended Jones Swamp Pentecostal Holiness Church in Walterboro and was a member of the Order of The Eastern Star in Greenwood.  She was talented with sewing and upholstery work and was a gifted pianist.

Surviving are: her husband, Mr. Ladson Michael Risher; two sons, Darrell Guinn and his wife Annette of Walterboro and Terry Dale Guinn of Walhalla; step-children, Jim Wilson Risher of Walterboro, Renee Risher Moore and her husband Joe of Walterboro, Mike Risher, Jr. of Walterboro, Kenneth Guinn of Inman, Steve Guinn of Spartanburg, and Tina Guinn Brown of Ridgeland; sisters, Carol Whitfield of North and Edith Posey of Liberty; step-brother, Leonard Brewer of Pickens; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
