Mrs. Debra Stroud Byrd, 56, of Fennell Lane, Round O, entered into her eternal rest Thursday, July 19, 2012, at her residence.
A memorial service will be conducted 5 oclock Tuesday afternoon, July 24, 2012from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro with The Reverend Otis Borden officiating. The family will receive friends following the funeral ceremony until 7 oclock that evening at the mortuary.
Mrs. Byrd was born November 18, 1955, in Norfolk, Virginia and was a daughter of Mrs. Eledith Elliot Knotts of Walterboro and the late Mr. Delano Stroud. She was formerly employed by the Waffle House on Sniders Highway in Walterboro and will be fondly remembered for the love she possessed for her family, centering her life around her family and grandchildren.
Surviving are: a son, James Cook of Cottageville; a daughter Lea Cook of Walterboro; two step-sons, Dennis Byrd of South Mills, North Carolina and Stanley Byrd of Virginia Beach, Virginia; a brother, Danny Stroud of Beaufort; and two sisters, Martha Stroud of Seattle, Washington and Wanda Sissy Stroud Yoakum of Reevesville. There are six grandchildren, Blake Cook, Christopher Cook, Tia Cook, Jesse-Allen Rapue, Alex Byrd, and Taylor Byrd that also survive.
