Mrs. Debra Gail Blocker, affectionately known as Debbie, age 56, of Sniders Highway, Walterboro, entered into rest Thursday evening, May 9, 2013, at Roper Hospital in Charleston.
Born July 13, 1956, a native of Dayton, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late William Blocker and the late Vera Blocker. She was employed by the Colleton County School District, where she was a operator in the cafeteria of Colleton County High School. She received her Associates Degree from the University of South Carolina.
Surviving are: her husband of thirty years, Mr. Danny Chickering; two daughters, Tanya Chickering Simpson and her husband Isaac of Walterboro and Ashley Chickering of Charleston; a son, Daniel Chickering of Charleston; and a sister, Shirley Middleton of Texas. There are two grandchildren, Alayna Johnson and Cameron Simpson that also survive. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Richard Blocker and Thomas Blocker.
