Deborah Garvin Murdaugh

Mrs. Deborah Garvin Murdaugh, 75, of Walterboro, entered into rest Friday morning, April 10, 2026, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Mr. Edward Carroll Murdaugh, Jr.

Born May 9, 1950 in Round O, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Harmon H. Garvin and the late Jaine Hiott Garvin. A devoted homemaker, she will always be remembered for the love she had for flowers, her chickens, and hummingbirds. Her greatest love and joy in life was her grandchildren.

Surviving are: three children, Douglas Murdaugh (Melinda) of Monticello, Georgia, Shannon Murdaugh (Lora) of Springfield, Georgia, and Ryan Murdaugh (Sharon) of Walterboro; a sister, Judith Garrett of Senecca; seven grandchildren, Autumn Murdaugh, Racheal Mobley, Carter Murdaugh, Waylon Murdaugh, Merick Murdaugh, Ethan Murdaugh, and Jesse Murdaugh; and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Noah Murdaugh.
