Deborah Chaplin Warren, known to everyone as “Debbie”, 75, of Ravenel, entered into eternal rest Monday afternoon, April 20, 2026, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Ronald “Ronnie” Styles Warren.
Born February 4, 1951, in Charleston, she was a daughter of the late Glenn Sylvester Chaplin, Sr. and Inez Dandridge Chaplin. She was a graduate of St. Paul’s High School. After graduating nursing school, she went to work as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston. After several years she started working for Dr. Martine Hutton at James Island Pediatrics, where she stayed for over 20 years. Debbie finished up her nursing career at Springfield Elementary, retiring in 2015 from the Charleston County School District. She was a member of the Ravenel First Baptist Church, where she was active in many aspects of the church’s work, especially the annual Vacation Bible School and serving on the Bereavement Committee. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Debbie loved being outdoors, working in in her yard and being on the water, and always attended her grandchildren’s baseball games. She will always be remembered for the love she had not only for her children, but for everyone. Her home was always open and welcoming to all.
Surviving are: her daughters, Wynde W. Limehouse (Christopher) of Ravenel and Heidi Warren of Ravenel; grandchildren, Zayne Limehouse (Elaine Loving), Dylan Limehouse (Kaitlyn Hyatt), and Benjamin Brewer; brother, Kenny Chaplin (Donna) of Ravenel; sister, Penny Morris of West Ashley; sister-in-law, Gail Chaplin; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved extended family, Tony Chubb and his family. She was preceded in death by her brother, Glenn S. “Bubba” Chaplin, Jr.; and sister, Dale Hendricks.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Ravenel Building Fund.
Funeral services will be held 11 o’clock, Saturday morning, April 25, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Ravenel, 5987 Highway 165, Ravenel. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
