Mr. Dean Ken Ozier, 84, passed away on Saturday evening, March 31, 2012, at the Veterans Victory House Nursing Home in Walterboro, South Carolina.
He was born on December 16th, 1927 in Thida, Arkansas. After serving in the US Army Air Corp from May 1946 to October 1947, he returned to Thida. He moved to Niles, Michigan in 1951 where he married Syble Darline Howe. He retired from National Standard Company, after almost 40 years of service, and moved to Heber Springs Arkansas. In Heber Springs, he volunteered for the Cleburne County Care a community service organization, and was a member of the local Senior Center, where he enjoyed the camaraderie and lunch. He moved in 2008 to Moncks Corner, SC to live with his daughter and son in law. He enjoyed his lifelong hobby of fishing and bowling.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, James Robert Ozier and Mary Edna White Ozier, and two sisters, Cledith Frasier and Helen Wade.
He is survived by a daughter, Belinda Ozier Bronson (David) , son Kenneth D. Ozier (Linda), two grandchildren, Crystal (Michael) and Scott (Whitney) , and 6 great grandchildren, Shelby, Chloe, Cody, Madison (mother Crystal),and Braiden, and Tatum Dean (father Scott) all living in Tennessee.
Dean was cremated as he wished, and a graveside service will be held at the Union Hill Chapel, Union Hill, Arkansas, sometime this summer.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a Veterans Organization or Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated.
