David Tuten

Mr. David Bryan Tuten, lovingly known as “Peepaw”, 48, of Estill, entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 17, 2021, at Hampton Regional Medical Center.

Born June 25, 1973, in Hampton, he was the son of Joseph Reese Tuten and Nancy Carolyn Galloway Tuten.  He was a machine operator for Georgia Pacific.  He was a faithful member of Nixville Baptist Church.  He was always known as being strong-willed but mostly as a loving and caring person who always helpful to everyone and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.  More than anything, he was a man of faith, who loved God and was a true family man.  David was an avid outdoorsman who loved traveling, cooking on the grill, woodworking and especially loved his red tractor.

Surviving are: his wife, Tara Lee Tuten; children, Katelyn (Josh) Ginn, Sarah (Trey) Tuten, and Chloe Tuten; grandchildren, Stephany “Peanut” Tuten, Lillian “14 year old” Ginn, Braxton “Little Buddy” Tuten, Margaret “Cacoon” Ginn, Trey “Krabby Patty” Tuten, and Skylar “Sky” Tuten; siblings, Richard (Teresa) Tuten, William (Theresa) Tuten, Paula (John) Creech; father and mother-in-law, Bobby “Booty” Lee and Bobbie “Nana” Lee; sister-in-law, Melissa (Jack) Gladden; nieces and nephews, Tyler (Hannah) Tuten, Erik Tuten, Rachel Tuten, Leah Tuten, Stephen (Sherri) Berry, Blake Watkins, Tyler (Chasity) Watkins, Luke Creech, Cody Creech, and Courtney (Erik) Still and their girls; and great nephews, Carter Mills and Rylan Watkins.  He is also survived by his furry companion, Oreo.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock, Tuesday afternoon, September 21, 2021, at Nixville Baptist Church.  Interment will follow in the Stafford Cemetery.
