David Stephens

Mr. David Clark Stephens, 64, of 94 Golden Rod Drive, Barnwell, entered into his eternal rest Tuesday morning, September 22, 2009, at his residence under the care of Agape Hospice.



Funeral services will be conducted 4 oclock Saturday afternoon, September 26, 2009, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Varnville with The Reverend Wayne Varnadoe officiating.



Mr. Stephens was born February 6, 1945 in Rum Gully section of Colleton County and was a son of the late David C. Stevens and the late Eula Barrineau Martin. He was of the Southern Baptist faith. He possessed a great love for carpentry work and building things.



Surviving are: his wife, Mrs. Marilyn Crosby Turner; two sons, David Christopher Stevens of Moncks Corner and Dusty Scott Stevens and his wife Barbara who is stationed at Hawaii; a daughter, Darlene Allen and her husband Charles of Ritter; a sister, Nita Mae Johnson of Walterboro; and three half-brothers, Jerome Altman of Hampton, Clyde Carter of Ehrhardt, and Glenn Carter of Ehrhardt. There are three grandchildren that also survive.
