WALTERBORO- Mr. David Jackie Shock, I, affectionately known as "Jack", 65, of 717 Dorsey Street, Thursday, July 3, 2008 at his residence.



A memorial service will be held 7 oclock, Tuesday evening, July 8, 2008 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel.



Mr. Shock was born June 27, 1943 in Enon, West Virginia and was the son of the late Willard Shock and Lucille Roberts Shock. He served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Shock was the owner of DJ Shock and Sons Home Improvements and was a member of the Walterboro Elks Lodge. He loved his family deeply and enjoyed spending his time with his children and grandchildren.



Surviving are: his wife, Joy S. Shock of Walterboro; children, David J. Shock, II and his wife Terri of Easley, Jason L. Shock and his wife Tracy of Walterboro and Jamey Shock and her friend Tommy Blauser of Walterboro; grandchildren, Tyler Nix of Walterboro, Adam Dowell of Easley, Ethan Valentine of Walterboro, Jonathan Bunton of Easley, Tommy Bunton of Easley, Kyle Shock of Walterboro and Devon Valentine of Walterboro; brothers, William T. Shock of Grantsville, WV and Larry W. Shock of Sistonville, WV; sisters, Jean Cromley of Fort Myers, FL, Joann Jones Shock of Grantsville, WV, Tammy Moore of Charleston, WV and Judy Morton of Enon, West Virginia; and former son-in-law, William Valentine of Walterboro.
