David Polk

David Billy Polk, Sr., 66, of Holly Hill, entered into eternal rest, February 28, 2023, at his residence.

David was born April 5, 1956, in Colleton County, South Carolina.  He was a son to the late Robert Asbury Polk and the late Veda Tuten Polk.

David for many years worked as a Civil Engineer Technician for the Charleston Shipyard.  He was a man that loved his Lord and Savior, and who truly loved everybody he met and knew.  One of David’s biggest beliefs was family and his family meant more than the world to him.  David was a big dreamer who made anything possible and knew he could do anything imaginable.  He was a funny and silly guy, but overall brilliant; always leaving an imprint on those he met.

He is survived by: his son, David B. Polk, Jr. (Melissa); his daughter, Tiffany Harbeson; grandchildren, Trey, Amberly, Andrew, Zoey, Braylon, Ansley, Jace, Makayla, Megan, Sheley, Gatlin and Grayson; and a brother, Curtis Polk (Terri).

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by: his sister, Patricia Wanda Kay Kendall.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 o’clock, Friday afternoon, March 3, 2023, at Sandy Run Baptist Church Cemetery , 2100 Sandy Run Road, Hampton, South Carolina, 29924.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock, Thursday, March 2, 2023 at the Brice Herndon and Sons Funeral Home- Walterboro Chapel, 1193 Bells Highway, Walterboro, SC, 29488.
