David L. Murdaugh

On Sunday, July 4, 2021, David L. Murdaugh of Ruffin, loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away at the age of 54.

David was born on July 11, 1966 in Walterboro, South Carolina to Carroll and Joan Wilkerson Murdaugh. David was a hardworking man. He had been employed at Bull Point Plantation for 17 years where he formed a second family.  David was an avid outdoorsman who loved any and all forms of hunting and fishing. David was a man of God whose passion was to tell anyone he came in contact with about the word of God and His saving grace. David never met a stranger and loved everyone, especially children. He loved his church, Hendersonville Baptist, and his church family. He began the Royal Ambassadors (RA) program at the church, where he was able to incorporate his love of children and his love of God.

In addition to his parents, David is survived by his wife, Pamela Murdaugh, his children: Candace (Brandon) Broach, Cody (Kim) Robertson, Megan Murdaugh, Kayce Robertson, Trevor Murdaugh, Kelsey Robertson, and Jacob Murdaugh, his beloved grandchildren: Owen, Lucy, Josiah, and soon to be granddaughter Lily, a sister: Debra (Timmy) Martin, a niece: MaHallie, and a host of extended family and friends who loved him dearly.

A memorial service will be held on Friday afternoon, July 9, 2021  at Hendersonville Baptist Church, 893 Bachelor Hill Road, Walterboro, at 3 o’clock.
