David Bennett

Mr. David Allen Bennett, 68, of Varnville, entered into eternal rest Monday, February 23, 2015 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm, Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Hone, Varnville-Hampton Chapel. Interment will follow in Gooding Cemetery.

Mr. Bennett was born December 6, 1946 in Ridgeland and was a son of the late Joseph Allen Bennett and Lela Frances Bennett. He was a retired carpenter and mechanic and was known as a jack of all trades. He will always be remembered for his willingness to help others, always putting the needs of others before his own, and was friends with everyone.

Surviving are: his sister, Mary Bennett Williams and her husband Robert of Varnville; and nephews, Robert Williams, Jr. and Greg Williams, both of Varnville.
