Mr. David Emuel Bailey, III, 65, of Harrison, Tennessee, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Park Ridge Medical Center in Chattanooga. He was the husband of the late Cynthia Ray Bailey.
Born January 15, 1959, in La Mesa, California, he was a son of the late David Emuel Bailey, Jr. and MayBelle Ann Pack Bailey. He served his country faithfully in the South Carolina Army National Guard and retired as a Staff Sergeant from the Tennessee Army National Guard. He was a a machinist for 40 years, having worked for Interstate Machine Works. David was an avid Clemson Tiger fan and enjoyed golfing and fishing when he could. He loved the Lord, loved his family, loved his friends, and loved his dogs. He was always willing to do anything he could for his family and friends and especially enjoyed cooking for them all.
Surviving are: his children, William Reichle (Krystyn) of Oliver Springs, Tennessee, David Bailey, IV (Aleta) of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Joshua Bailey (Keisha) of McDonald, Tennessee, and Aubrey Bailey of Ruffin, South Carolina; sister, Sue Lyne Bailey of Harrison, Tennessee; and 7 grandchildren, Donivon Reichle, Cayden Reichle, Cynthia Reichle, David E. Bailey, V, Alexandria Bailey, Joshua Bailey, Jr., Indy-May Bailey. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Stephanie Bailey, Beverly Sorenson, Eric Bailey, and Sammy Bailey.
Funeral services will be held 11 o’clock, Wednesday morning, July 17, 2024, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery, 12760 Augusta Highway, Walterboro.
