Mr. Daniel A. Lyons, affectionately known by all as "Danny", age 53, of Walterboro, entered into rest Tuesday evening, August 5, 2014, at his residence.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 o'clock Friday morning, August 8, 2014, from Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, 5277 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro. Interment will follow in the churchyard.
The family will received friends prior to his funeral service Friday morning beginning at 10 o'clock in Mount Carmel Church.
Born September 28, 1960, in Savannah, Georgia, he was a son of Daniel Dixon Lyons and the late Florrie Laverne Kinard. Since a young age, Danny has been an outdoors man. He was been employed by Murdaugh Tree Service in Walterboro for thirty years where for a number of years he has worked with them as a bucket operator and job foreman. He was attended Mount Carmel United Methodist Church and will be fondly remembered for his avid love of fishing. Danny possessed a heart of gold, he loved to cook and feed others and would willingly do anything he could for others. Danny was in fact, the very backbone of his family, being a loving husband and father.
Surviving in addition to his father, Daniel Lyons and his wife Mary of California are: his wife of thirty-three years, Mrs. Vickie M. Lyons; three sons, Keith Hunt and his wife Melodi, Daniel Adam Lyons and his wife Mindy, and Mason Dixon Lyons and his wife KayK all of Walterboro; two brothers, David Lyons and Nick Lyons both of Walterboro; and three sisters, Hope Thompson and Wanda Hunt both of Walterboro and Danielle Wofford in California. There are seven grandchildren and his father-in-law and mother-in-law that also survive, Parker and Norma Jane Lyons of Walterboro.
