Danny L. Bishop

Mr. Danny L. Bishop, age 69, entered into rest Friday evening, January 16, 2026, at his beloved home in Walterboro surrounded by the love of the family he adored following a long and courageous battle against cancer.  

Danny, the loving husband of Gayle Carroll Bishop, was the second of three generations of service in the Lowcountry's iconic Bishop Logging and was the founding owner R and D Timber Company in 1998.  

Arrangements for his funeral service at Grace Church in Walterboro are incomplete at this time and will be announced Sunday by Brice Herndon's Walterboro Chapel, 843.538.5408.
