Daniel Webster

RIDGELAND" Mr. Daniel J. Webster, 79, of Ridgeland, entered into eternal rest Saturday, December 19, 2009 at the Ridgeland Nursing Center.



Graveside funeral services will be held 2 oclock Monday, December 21, 2009, at Gillisonville Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 pm until the hour of service at the church.



Mr. Webster was born May 3, 1930 in Spartanburg, SC and was a son of the late Vernon Oliver Webster and Patience Segars Webster. He served his country faithfully and retired from the United States Army. Mr. Webster will always be remembered for his love of the Lord and of people, but mostly because of his sense of humor, his always positive and happy demeanor and for his joy of talking to others and entertaining. Never meeting a stranger, he had the ability to make anyone laugh.



Surviving are: his children, Danny Webster and his wife Rita of Alabama and daughter, Margie Webster and her husband Ernie of Alabama; sister, LaDema Satterfield of Anderson; brother, Troy Webster of Moore; and 3 grandsons. He was preceded in death by a sister, Illa Baxley; and two brothers, Bradford Webster and Edgar Webster.
