Mr. Daniel Luther Pullins, Sr., 74, of Round O, entered into rest Monday evening, December 6, 2021, at his beloved riverfront home.
Born April 28, 1947, in Columbus, Ohio and had made South Carolina his home for the past five years. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army and worked for a number of years as a boiler operator at the Research Institute. He was a talented barber and was iconic at Walterboro’s own, Carter’s Barber Shop. He was a member of Maple Cane Baptist Church in Cottageville where he sang with the church choir. He dearly loved music and signing. He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective and Order of Elks, No. 1988 in Walterboro and will always be remembered for his love of Harley Davidson Motorcycles.
Surviving are: his wife, Mari Pullins; four children, Dan L. Pullins, Jr. (Heather), Derek Pullins (Kim), Will Pullins (Ashley), and Nina Pullins (Tiffany); three step-children, Brandilyn Gladden, Eric Gladden, and Julie Hazen; eleven grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife of forty years, Mrs. Christine Rupe Pullins.
Funeral services will be conducted 5 o’clock Friday afternoon, December 10, 2021, from Maple Cane Baptist Church, 21324 Cottageville Highway, Cottageville. The Reverend Blake Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends following the funeral ceremony in the church sanctuary.
