Corine Bowers

Ms. Corine Dixon Bowers, 81, of Fairfax, entered into eternal rest Friday evening, March 24, 2023, at her residence after an extended illness.

Born September 9, 1941, in Aiken, she was a daughter of the late Hollie Dixon, Sr. and Ollie Mae Stanley Bennett.  She was a loving caregiver to many who where sick.  She enjoyed watching tv and reading.

Surviving are: her children, Rose Mary “Marie” Taylor of Fairfax; Michael O’Neal Stevens Sr. and his wife Marsha Lynn of Brunson, Joseph Anthony Stevens, Sr. and his wife Elaine of Walterboro, Kathy Lynn Ingles of Greenville, and Matthew Mark Stevens of Greenville; sister, Grace Creech of Barnwell; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her children, Pete Richard Stevens, Larry Joe Stevens, Julie Melissa Stevens, and Marsha Ellen Stevens; and her brother, Hollie Dixon, Jr.

Funeral services will be held 2 o’clock, Wednesday afternoon, March 29, 2023, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Varnville.  Interment will follow in Sandy Run Cemetery, Sandy Run Road, Hampton.
