Ms. Cora Lee Beach Hiott Crosby Johns, known to all who loved her as Big Moma, 90, of Sharon Drive, Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at her residence. She was first married to the late Harmon Hiott, secondly to the late Henry Crosby, Jr.; and thirdly to the late Cecil Johns.
Funeral services will be held 3 pm, Sunday, August 11, 2013 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel. Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery.
Mrs. Johns was born October 24, 1922 in Walterboro and was a daughter of the late T. Walton Beach and Annie Lee Drawdy Beach. She retired from Piggly Wiggly in Walterboro, where she was the Deli Manager for many years. She was a member of First Assembly and a former member of Evergreen Christian Church. She loved entertaining and participating in the Womens Auxiliary group at the church and loved camping. Most especially, she loved her family and centered her life on taking care of them and cooking for her grandchildren any time she got the chance.
Surviving are: her children, Bobby Lee Hiott, Sr. and his wife Cynthia of North Charleston and Jo Ann Smith of Walterboro; daughter-in-law, Minnie Hiott of Walterboro; 10 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 12 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Roy Hiott; grandson, Joel Smith, Jr.; son-in-law, J.D. Smith; brothers, Harold Bo Beach and Herman Beach; and sisters, Vera Gatch, Ruby Brown and Colleen Robertson.

The family would like to thank the caregivers, Kathy Needham, Dale Wilson, and Beth Glover, and the nurses and staff of Hospice of South Carolina for the loving care that they have given to Ms. Cora during her illness.
