Clara Sandifer

Mrs. Clara Smoak Sandifer, 80, of Smoaks, died Saturday, November 6, 2010 at her home. She was the widow of Mr. Laurie L. Sandifer.



Funeral services will be held 3 pm, Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Ehrhardt-Bamberg Chapel. Interment will follow in Bamberg Memory Gardens.



Mrs. Sandifer was born December 1, 1929 in Colleton County and was a daughter of the late Nathan Henry Smoak and Katie Benton Smoak. She enjoyed gardening, but most of all was a loving mother, who was well loved by those who knew her.



Surviving are: her son, Billy Sandifer of Smoaks; grandchildren, Billy, David and Katie Sandifer; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry L. Sandifer; and 5 brothers, Ned, Herman, Harold, Clarence and Dan Smoak.
