Clara Crosby

Mrs. Clara Mae James Crosby, 82, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at her residence. She was the widow of Clifton William Crosby, Sr.
Funeral services will be held 4 pm, Friday afternoon, October 20, 2017, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Entombment will follow in Glendale Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
Born January 13, 1935 in Colleton County, she was a daughter of the late William Henry “Bill” James and Annie May Walker James. She was a member of Marion Baptist Church. She loved music and enjoyed fishing, but most of all loved her children and her grandchildren.
Surviving are: her children, Clifton William Crosby, Jr. of Walterboro, Leo Crosby of Walterboro, Linda C. Hiott of Walterboro, Charles Crosby of Walterboro, Rachel Davis of Ruffin, Frank James Crosby of Smoaks and Susan Jones of Beaufort; sister, Susan Luebke of North Carolina; 17 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her children, Anna Crosby, Donna Crosby, Frank Allen Crosby, and Samuel Hiott; grandchildren, Michael Crosby and Jim Hiott; brothers, Jack James, Robert James, and Allen James; and sister, Dorene Bell.
