Miss Ciaya Jordan Whetstone, 21, of Bamberg, entered into eternal rest Saturday morning, February 19, 2022, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Born November 21, 2000 in Walterboro, she was the daughter of Burnette Rhette Whetstone and Miranda Searson Whetstone. Ciaya was currently a Junior at the University of New Orleans, majoring in Psychology. She was employed at Buckle, a boutique store in Metairie, Louisiana. Ciaya was independent, strong-willed, and hardworking. She never met a stranger and always made people feel loved and accepted. Ciaya’s fun loving, free spirit and larger than life personality made an impact on everyone who knew her. She cherished her family and loved her dog, Zoe.
Surviving are: her parents, Burnette Whetstone of Bamberg and Miranda Whetstone of Smoaks; her step-father, Chris Ferrand of Walterboro; brother, Alex Lewis Whetstone of Bamberg; grandmother, Joanne Whetstone of Smoaks; great grandmother, Beverly Searson of Smoaks; and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mary Woods, Donnie Searson, and Burnette Whetstone; and great grandparents, Donald Searson, and Moselle and Lewis Whetstone.
Funeral services will be held 2 o’clock, Sunday afternoon, February 27, 2022 at Little Swamp United Methodist Church, Hunters Chapel Road, Smoaks. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
