Biography
Mrs. Christine Purvis Phillips, 72, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Summit Place in Beaufort. She was the widow of the late Doctor B.C. Phillips, Jr.
Graveside funeral services will be held 10 am, Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Glendale Memorial Cemetery, Walterboro.
Born August 16, 1942 in Islandton, she was a daughter of the late Bernard Purvis and Pauline Simmons Purvis. She was a retired medical assistant and attended Living Word Church.
Surviving are: her daughter, Kim O'Brien of Walterboro; brother, Doctor Jordan Purvis and his wife Marie of Salem; aunt, Phyllis Deathridge of Beaufort; and grandsons, Daniel O'Brien and Ian O'Brien, both of Walterboro.
