Mrs. Christine Dascher Crosby, 70, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Friday morning, April 14, 2023 at her residence.
Born October 4, 1952 in Staten Island, New York, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Genevieve Dascher. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse and especially loved her years working in the prison. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Christine loved working with the Special Olympics and working with the group home was her passion. She was an extraordinary cook, loved her family dearly and loved helping anyone she could.
Surviving are: her husband of 45 years, James Kenneth Crosby of Walterboro; children, Bernard Joseph Dessoye, III (Patricia) of Walterboro, James Edward Crosby (Michele) of Cottageville, Angela Velazquez (Jason) of Walterboro, and Wendy Linder (Shane) of Smoaks; sisters, Cathy Risher (Robert) of Walterboro and Susan Huff (Gary) of Florida; and 12 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret Dessoye Avant; and a brother, Edward Dascher, III.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 o’clock, Wednesday morning, April 19, 2023 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Jefferies Boulevard, Walterboro. Monsignor Thomas Hofmann officiating. The Final Commendation and Farewell will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
