Chris Adams

Mr. Christopher Wayne Adams, 46, of Cottageville, entered into eternal rest Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Colleton Medical Center.

Born January 4, 1974 in Colleton County, he was a son of Helen Rae Varner Adams and the late Willie Hampton Adams.  Chris was a Computer Technician for The Technology Center of the Colleton County School District.  He had also work for Bi-Lo in the IT Department for many years.  He was a member of St. Matthews Baptist Church in Grover and attended Spring Hill Baptist Church in Cottageville.  Chris was known for his kind and giving heart.  He always met everyone with a smile that would light up a room and always had a joke for you.  He was a dedicated worker, and most of all, a devoted son and loving brother and uncle.  He dearly loved his family but especially his nieces and nephews and doted on them to everyone.   He loved his dog, “Shine” and was a loyal Gamecock fan.

Surviving are: his mother, Helen Rae Adams of Cottageville; brothers, Gregory H. Adams and his wife Tracie and Bryan R. Adams; nephews, Benjamin H. Adams, Garrett B. Adams, and Carson R. Adams; and nieces, Sarah G. Adams, Hadlie D. Adams, and Julie L. Adams.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herman and Gertrude Adams and Raymond and Mae Varner.

Funeral services will be held 2 o’clock, Friday, November 6, 2020 at The Brice Herndon Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel.  Interment will follow at Ackerman Cemetery at Red Oak, Cottageville.
