Cheryl Ray

Mrs. Cheryl Lynn Parrish Ray, 64, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Friday morning, July 25, 2025, at her residence.

Born September 29, 1960, in Sacramento, California, she was a daughter of the late Robert L. Parrish and Nina Crosby Parrish.  Cheryl’s great pride and joy was her family.  She loved spending time with everyone and especially enjoyed hosting everyone for holidays and any other time they could all be together.  She always took care of everyone and always put her family first.

Surviving are: her husband of 25 years, Wade Herman Ray of Walterboro; children, Benjie Ray and his wife Jennifer of Harmony, North Carolina, Maranda Gagne and her husband, Christopher of Hillsville, Virginia, Trey Parrish of Rock Hill; and Sabrina Whitaker and her husband Jason of Hamptonville, North Carolina; her grandson that she loved and raised as her son, Kaleb Parrish of Walterboro; brother, Jeff Parrish and his wife Melissa of Walterboro; 16 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved companion, Lucy.

Funeral services will be held 11 o’clock, Wednesday morning, July 30, 2025, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10 am.
