Charlotte Hoff

Mrs. Charlotte Elaine Bailey Hoff, age 73, entered into rest Monday morning, August 17, 2015, at her home on Johns Island. She was the loving wife of forty-three years to the late Mr. Robert Wilson “Billy” Hoff at the time of his death in 2010.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 o’clock Friday morning, August 21, 2015, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Ackerman Cemetery at Red Oak in Cottageville.
Born July 27, 1942, a native of Saginaw, Michigan, she was a daughter of the late Warren Bailey and the late Peggy Doudty Gentry. She was a homemaker who loved her family dearly. Her husband’s hobbies in life became her passions, fishing and Nascar Motor Sports Racing.
Surviving are: a son, James Dean, Sr. and his wife Bonnie of Johns Island; two daughters, Peggy Robinson and her husband Jerome of Johns Island and Melissa Hoff of West Ashley; two brothers, Sonny Bailey and Thomas Bailey; a sister, Inez Pushee; and a very special sister-in-law, Jewel Gianelli. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; as well as her beloved companion, “Sierra”.
