Mr. Charles Pierce Williams, Jr., known to everyone as “Chuck”, 80, of Cottageville, entered into eternal rest Sunday, June 14, 2015 at MUSC in Charleston, after a 25 year battle with heart disease. He was the husband of the late Connie Parker Williams.
Graveside funeral services will be held 11 am, Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Old Round O Cemetery.
Mr. Williams was born September 11, 1934 in Charleston and was a son of the late Charles Pierce Williams, Sr. and Ruby Player Williams. He was a retired auto mechanic and attended Walterboro Church of God. He loved racing and fishing.
Surviving are: his children, Charlotte Williams Huffman of Nashville, Tennessee, Renee Williams Carden and her husband Paul of Walterboro, Charles Pierce Williams, III and his wife Amy of Spartanburg, Vivian Lorraine “Lori” Williams Hudson of Summerville, and Stephen Joseph Williams and his wife Cathy of Summerville; brothers, Thomas “Snokey” Williams and his wife Geraldine of Greenville and Melvin Williams and his wife Dale of Pikesville, North Carolina; sisters, Ethel “Sista” Margiotta of Charleston, Juanita Komanitsky of New Jersey, Charlene Stegall of Florida, and Rubyanne Tumbleston of Charleston; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Henry M. Williams and Johnnie E. Williams; and a sister, Betty Jean Williams Bright.
