Charles Henry Mcmillan

Mr. Charles Henry McMillan, affectionately known by many as “Pops”, age 70, of Bonneau Beach, entered into rest Thursday evening, October 6, 2016, at the Trident Medical Center in North Charleston.

Born April 6, 1946, in Colleton County, he was a son of the late Hezekiah Henry McMillan and the late Ruby Catherine Grooms McMillan.  He served our country faithfully in the United States Army and was a retired rigger from the Charleston Naval Shipyard.  He will always be remembered for his avid love of fishing and his talent with mechanic work, and love for old cars and music.

Surviving are: his wife of forty-nine years, Mrs. Doris Ann Hiers McMillan; two children, Charles Dennis McMillan (Lisa) of Summerville and Tina McMillan LePere (Erik) of Douglasville, Georgia; and a brother, James Edward McMillan (Sherry) of Walterboro.  There are five grandchildren, Drayton McMillan, Emory McMillan, Tyler LePere, Lindsey LePere, and Michael LePere.

In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that memorial contributions be directed in his memory to: American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, South Carolina 29406.
