Charles Hudson

Mr. Charles Hascal Hudson, affectionately known by all as Charlie, age 60, of 110 Hill Street, Walterboro, died Friday evening, June 26, 2009, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro.



Funeral services will be conducted 11 oclock Tuesday morning, June 30, 2009, from the graveside at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 16147 Lowcountry Highway, Ruffin with The Reverend David Cox officiating.



Mr. Hudson was born September 7, 1948, in Colleton County and was a son of the late Mendel Bethea Hudson and the late Ina Strickland Hudson. Charlie had spent his life working with air cooled motors, a family profession and trade he had practiced since the age of 6. He was the owner of Air Cooled Motors in Walterboro. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church " Ruffin Charge and was a former Colleton County Farmer. He will be remembered for his avid love of NASCAR Motor Sports and antique Tractor Shows.



Surviving are: his wife of forty-two years, Mrs. Louise Polk Hudson; two sons, Landy Hudson of Cordova and Tommy Hudson and his wife Kelly of Ruffin; a daughter, Tina Girardeau and her friend Tommy McMillan of Walterboro; two sisters, Clara Stanley of Walterboro and Florence Benton of Walterboro. There are fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews that also survive.
