Charles Bishop

Mr. Charles Glenn Bishop, Jr., affectionately known as “Bam Bam”, 39, of Ehrhardt, passed away Friday, September 18, 2015.

A memorial service will be held at 4 pm, Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Ehrhardt Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends from 2 pm until the hour of service in the church fellowship hall.

Charles was born April 5, 1976 in Barnwell and was the son of Charles Glenn Bishop, Sr. and Judy Peters Finley.  He was a truck driver for Bryan Davis.  Anyone who knew Charles knew how much he loved his family and his friends, but most of all his children.  He centered his life around his children who were number one in his life.  He enjoyed taking them to the waterpark, watching his son play sports and watching his daughter play in the band.  His other greatest joy in life was riding his motorcycle.

Surviving are: his parents, Judy Peters Finley and Roy Alan Finley, sr. of St. George and Charles Glenn Bishop, Sr. and Jimmie Bishop of Ehrhardt; children, Christian Glenn Bishop and Cheyenne Nicole Bishop; sisters, Nancy “Maggie” Morningstar Neblett and her husband Brian of Carolton, Virginia, Mary Searson and her husband Dylan of Ehrhardt, and Martha Bishop of Ehrhardt; nephews, Jordan, Alex, and Nicholas; step grandmother, Frances Peters of Ehrhardt; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Furman and Nancy Peters, Charles “Champ” and Dolly Bishop, and Scottie and Maryann Pendarvis; and an uncle, Eugene Peters.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: Mary Ann Morris Animal Society at MAMA’s Shelter, Post Office Box 1151, Bamberg, SC 29903; or to Ehrhardt Baptist Church, Post Office Box 267, Ehrhardt, SC 29081.
