Charlene Cofield

Mrs. Betty Charlene Cosby Cofield, 58, of Cottageville, entered into eternal rest Thursday, December 24, 2020 at her residence.

Born October 23, 1962 in Statesboro, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Johnny Lee Cosby and Betty Ruth Patterson Cosby.  She loved gardening and working with her flowers.  She loved animals, especially horses and her dogs, whom she loved like her children.  She enjoyed going out on the water, spending time at the beach and going to see waterfalls.  Most of all, she loved her family and especially spending time with her granddaughters.

Surviving are: her husband, Rusty Cofield of Cottageville; son, Raymond Cofield, IV (Heather Johnson) of Cottageville; granddaughters, Maddison, Emily, and Kaylee; sister, Linda Jones of Mount Pleasant; mother-in-law, Jo Ann Cofield; sister-in-law, Kim Benke; brother-in-law, Christopher Cofield; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her son, Brannon Nale-Cofield; brothers, Johnny Lee Cosby, Jr. and Ricky Cosby; and her father-in-law, RG Cofield, Jr.

Funeral services will be held 2 o’clock, Tuesday afternoon, December 29, 2020 at the Brice Herndon Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel.  Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
