Cecil Hale

Mr. Cecil Hale, 69, of Cottageville, entered into eternal rest Sunday, September 7, 2014 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Spirit of Life Church in Varnville. Interment will follow in Garvin Cemetery in Yemassee.

Mr. Hale was born June 14, 1945 in Greene County, Missouri and was a son of the late Elmer Hale and Lillie Allen Fletcher. He served his country in the United States Army, retiring as a Sergeant First Class. He then worked for Dayco as a purchasing agent. He was a member of Spirit of Life Church and will always be remembered for his love of golfing and hunting.

Surviving are: his wife, Margaret Hale of Cottageville; daughters, Julie Tummons (Jeff Tummons) of Republic, Missouri, Tracey Hale (Brad Reynolds) of Republic, Missouri, and Angela Garvin (Hodgi Garvin) of Walterboro; step-son, Walter E. Clark, Jr. of Los Angeles, California; brother, Delbert Hale of Springfield, Missouri; sister, Dolores Dick of Springfield, Missouri; grandchildren, Jesse Tummons, Shyan Mooneyham, Chase Hale and Taylor Tummons; and his three little buddies, Carson “Bubba” Hayes, Becky Hansen, and Savannah DeLoach. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Hale; brothers, Gene Hale and Marvin Hale; and sister, Velma Long.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: Amedisys Hospice, 305 Robertson Boulevard, Suite A, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488.
