Cassie Murdaugh

Ruffin " Mr. Cassie William Murdaugh, 70, of 1677 Paradise Road died Monday, February 9, 2009, at his daughters residence after an extended illness. Mr. Murdaugh was born Sept. 10, 1938 in Colleton County and was the son of the late Leonard Murdaugh and Rachel Nettles Murdaugh Benton. He was a retired farmer and construction worker. He was a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church #1.



Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at the graveside at Pine Grove Baptist Church #1 Cemetery.



Surviving are: a son, Carl W. Murdaugh, two daughters, Donna J. Murdaugh and Linda Gail M. Morris and husband Wayne, all of Ruffin; two grandsons, Carl Will Murdaugh, Jr. of Ruffin and Kyle D. Murdaugh of Walterboro; one granddaughter, Ashley E. Murdaugh of Walterboro; one brother, Carroll L. Murdaugh of Ruffin; and a special friend, Irene Hiers of Walterboro. He was predeceased by a grandson, Joshua W. Dandridge.



The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Pine Grove Baptist Church Fellowship Center and other times at the residence of his daughter, 1753 Paradise Road, Ruffin, SC.
