Carolyn Fennessy

Mrs. Carolyn Bailey Fennessy, 72, of Charleston Highway, Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Friday, December 27, 2013 at Colleton Medical Center.

Born May 27, 1941 in Walterboro, she was a daughter of the late Riddick Player Bailey and Ruby Ackerman Bailey. She was a former bookkeeper for Piggly Wiggly and Byrd’s Appliance Center. She was an avid reader and loved flowers. Most of all, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who always centered her life around her family.

Surviving are: her husband of 52 years, Samuel Charles “Mickey” Fennessy of Walterboro; sons, Richard Fennessy and his wife Colleen of Columbia, Scott Fennessy of Walterboro, Greg Fennessy and his wife Tess of Puyallup, Washington, and Michael Fennessy and his wife Glenda of Holly Hill; and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held privately.
