Mrs. Carol Drawdy Gaskin, 76, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Monday morning, February 5, 2024, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Willie Monroe Gaskin.
Born December 21, 1947, in Walterboro, she was a daughter of the late Andrew Esdorn Drawdy and Helen Hiott Hamilton. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse having worked at the nursing home in Walterboro when it first opened, worked for several doctors in Walterboro, also worked at the health department. After her children were born, she became a stay-at-home mom and homemaker. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed writing. She loved her animals and most of all, loved her children and family.
Surviving are: her children, Beth Gaskin Todd of Savannah, Georgia and Willie M. J. “Joey” Gaskin of Walterboro; sisters-in-law, Sissy Gaskin of Walterboro and Wanda Drawdy of Sumter; and many nieces and nephews, Bill Drawdy and family, Tammy Drawdy Johnson and family, Lisa Drawdy Laux and family, Gem Brown and family, and Charly Green and family. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Billy Drawdy and Arnold “Bubba” Bazzle; and brothers-in-law, Henry Gaskin and Liston Gaskin.
Funeral services will be held 1 o’clock, Saturday, February 10, 2024, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Grace Advent Christian Church Cemetery.
